AI Software Developer Intern

Ernst & Young LLP., Palo Alto, California•June 2018 - August 2018

  • Designed and developed a Fully Convolutional Neural Network (FCN) model to perform semantic-based (pixel-wise) segmentation of document pages into regions of interest and tag each region with a unique label from a list of classes including, figure, table, section heading, paragraph, caption (figure or table), or list.
  • Created a large-scale synthetic image dataset for document layout and annotated them using Image Processing techniques in python.
  • Performed a literature review for the paper "Densely Connected Convolutional Networks" (best paper award, CVPR 2017) and presented it in the Deep Learning paper discussions.

Android Developer Intern

Suven Consultants and Technology Pvt. Ltd.,India • December 2015 - January 2016

  • RSS News Feed: Worked with the Android Programmers to design a news feed application using concepts such as Activities, Intents, Data Persistence and SQLite Database programming. Created a module to provide a list of 50 latest recent news from 10 distinct categories along with a feature to bookmark multiple favorite categories.
  • Course Enrollment and Learning Application: Developed an android application that avails the facility to access around 20 certification courses using effective activity layouts coded in Java, XML and PHP to use the readily available study material.
  • Offline Voting App: Designed a voting application using Model View Controller (MVC) design pattern using Eclipse IDE (Java and XML) to extract data from internal files in the SQLite database. Achieved an accuracy of 94% while testing the application by retracing the number of votes post - voting by a valid voter.
